Job Scope:
500 Global Korea is looking for a dynamic and driven team member to support our investment efforts across early-stage startups. In this role, you’ll source and evaluate opportunities, conduct due diligence, support portfolio companies, and collaborate on deal execution. You’ll also help with fund operations, investor reporting, and strengthening our presence in the Korean startup ecosystem. Main Responsibilities

  • Source and screen potential early-stage startups, performing initial evaluations and aligning opportunities with investment thesis.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, competitive landscape assessments, and team evaluations.
  • Track and monitor portfolio companies, providing proactive support in areas such as fundraising strategy, business development, and operational milestones.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of investment activities, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of reports for internal and external stakeholders, including LP reporting and filings required by regulatory bodies (such as the Korea Venture Capital Association) and other relevant government authorities.
  • Support fund management activities, including investor reporting, fund performance analysis, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage relationships with startup founders, co-investors, industry experts, and ecosystem partners, cultivating strong professional networks.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams on deal execution, preparing investment memos and presentations for investment committee meetings.
  • Actively contribute to the brand presence of 500 Global Korea by attending events, participating in industry panels, and generating thought leadership content.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience
  • Authorized to work in Korea.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A working knowledge of spoken and written KoreanExperience in multitasking
  • Capability to learn & adapt quickly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment under pressure
  • Global and cultural awareness, be excited about working in a diverse environment with different types of people from around the world speaking different languages
  • Passionate about startups
