Job Description:

Alantra is currently looking for recent graduates or final year master students interested a 6 months internship position to join our entrepreneurial and dynamic M&A team based in Milan, starting in September 2022. You will be part of the team in charge to the transaction origination and execution, preparation and client pitch work on the buy and sell-side as well as valuation engagements. Your role will be fully integrated into the team and will allow you to work and interact with senior members of the IB team and get direct transaction experience.

Your day-to-day duties will encompass (inclusive of sell-side and buy-side activities):

  • Contribute to the preparation of pitch presentations to potential clients
  • Support analysts and associates on buy, sell-side and other business development opportunities
  • Support the project team in the execution of transactions
  • Constructing economic and financial models and performing financial valuation, discounted cash flow and multiples-based analyses as well as benchmarking considerations
  • Preparation of marketing materials, data-room management, meeting materials
  • Conducting industry and product research
  • Performing detailed and meaningful corporate analyses on listed and private companies
  • Other ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background/results in Economics, Finance, Management or related fields from top-tier universities
  • Prior internship experiences in Investment Banking or M&A departments within BBs/Elite Boutiques/Big 4 would be considered a plus
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience in the use of Capital IQ, Mergermarket, Aida desirable, but not mandatory
  • Experience in analysing and understanding key corporate financial metrics
  • Desire to learn quickly and adapt to new teams, clients and tasks
  • Capability of working under pressure
  • Good communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written); other languages highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Able to work in Italy
