​ **The Department of Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric, Palliative, and Hospital Medicine** at the University of Virginia is seeking Internal Medicine candidates to provide **100% Outpatient** care at **University Physicians of Orange**, **The Assistant Professor** position joins an existing group of Internal Medicine practitioners focused on providing the most current, evidence-based care to a rural community at a practice located in historic Orange County **within a commuting distance to Charlottesville**! **Position Details:** - Academic Practice Setting - 1.0 FTE - Call coverage currently 1:5 - NP and PA onsite - Robust RN care coordination program, diabetes education and nutrition programs, a hepatitis C treatment program, and a nephrology specialty clinic - Diagnosis and management of common medical conditions and disease prevention. - Supervision and teaching of medical residents - Develop an established practice from the expanding population in our service area (**Orange, Culpeper, and Fredericksburg**). - _**Attending on the general medicine inpatient unit at the**_ _**University of Virginia Health System**_ _**two to four weeks per year may be an option for the interested physician.**_ **Qualifications:** - MD or DO. - Board-eligible/board-certified in Internal Medicine. - Committed to providing excellent patient care. **UVA Supports Research & Discovery!** UVA strives to be a leader in this regard by creating the incentives and opportunities necessary to help faculty and students work across departments, schools, and disciplines—including by improving our research infrastructure and providing more common space for interdisciplinary collaborations. **Talk to us about your passions & goals today!**
