The Role Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026. Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US. Work Authorization: US Work Authorization required for this role. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made. The Main Responsibilities Lumen’s Mass Markets organization is looking for a Software Developer on our Strategic Planning and Trasnformation team. The intern will focus on the development and innovation of AI-powered tools within our mass market applications. This role involves working closely with our sales force and order management systems, aiming to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work through AI technologies. Required Qualifications What We Look For in a Candidate Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship. Graduating August 2026 – May 2028 Preferred fields include but not limited to: Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering. Proficiency And Understanding Of Proficiency and understanding of: o MS Office Suite o Python o Machine Learning Libraries like TensorFlow, Poarch, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, NumPy, etc o Java - Preferable experience in React, Django . GCP, Docker Flask , Mongo, Oracle/MySQL o Hands on experience in cloud computing Preferred qualifications Project Management o Motivated learner o Enjoys collaboration and works well in team environment o Unafraid to ask questions to find solutions o Thinks outside the box to challenge the norm o Works to think of creative solutions to challenging problems o Strong written and verbal communication skills o Ability to multitask while working in fast paced environment Compensation Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role Hourly Based Pay Range Min: $ 31/hour Max: $ 46/hour What To Expect Next Once you complete and submit your application, you will be invited to take part in a virtual assessment.
