About The Role

We are seeking a Travel Advisor to play an essential role in Fora’s in-house travel operations team. This position focuses on supporting the Director of Travel Sales and the Senior Travel Advisors in managing travel for a select group of our high-touch, VIP clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing hotel options, checking rates, drafting trip quotes, and reconfirming upcoming stays. You will also support the research of destinations to help guide clients on their travel plans.

As part of the sales team, you’ll assist in the day-to-day operations of Fora’s growing VIP clientele while collaborating with suppliers to ensure a seamless travel experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about travel and hospitality, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and pull hotel options that align with client preferences, ensuring accurate rates and availability
  • Reconfirm hotel stays and other reservations in advance of travel to ensure everything is in place
  • Research destinations to assist in providing clients with tailored recommendations, local insights, and logistical details to enhance their travel experience
  • Support responses to time-sensitive inquiries and make adjustments to bookings as needed
  • Build client itineraries using itinerary creation platform
  • Assist with coordination of ground transportation, excursions, and special requests for VIP clients
  • Manage client profiles in the CRM, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is recorded
  • Support post-travel feedback collection and assist with client follow-up as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest travel trends, hotel openings, and new destination information to provide clients with cutting-edge recommendations

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to work full-time in our office in Lower Manhattan Monday-Thursday
  • 2-4 years of prior professional experience, including internships or part-time roles
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and suppliers
  • Meticulous attention to detail, especially when managing multiple bookings and inquiries simultaneously
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and similar collaboration tools. Familiarity with CRM software is a plus
  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for travel and providing outstanding customer service to high-end clients

Compensation

Annual Salary: $65k - $70k + commission + equity. Final compensation will depend on the level at which the candidate is hired, as we’re considering multiple levels for this role.
