Human Resources Manager

Are you an experienced Human Resources leader skilled in managing people and supporting organizations? Do you have a proven track record of building HR processes and systems in rapidly growing organizations? If so, this could be the role for you!

Our client, PMR Healthcare (PMR), is on a mission to revolutionize how companies manage their healthcare costs while enhancing the quality of care for employees and their families. Since 2005, PMR has been dedicated to more than just saving money—they’re about offering the best healthcare experience and treating every individual with the respect and care.

As the Human Resources Manager, you’ll be leading and executing key HR functions that support the company’s rapid growth and operational excellence. You’ll be pivotal in supporting the unique workforce needs of clinical, operational, and administrative teams. This role will oversee payroll, benefits administration, timekeeping, employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management—within a healthcare services environment.

Benefits:

  • 100% Remote role.
  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Growth Opportunities: A chance to develop your skills and grow within a supportive team environment.
  • Impactful Work: Be part of a company that’s transforming the way healthcare is delivered.
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision package.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee payroll and timekeeping administration and processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, ancillary, and retirement plans; ensure compliance with ERISA and related laws.
  • Evaluate and negotiate benefit plans annually, collaborating with brokers to secure cost-effective and competitive solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, handling HR policies, employee relations, and performance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies, maintaining consistent documentation and fair resolution of employee concerns.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for all positions, develop and maintain talent pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, and partnerships.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and coaching for managers to foster employee growth and accountability.
  • Partner with leadership to identify development needs, support succession planning, and contribute to strategies for organizational growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Administration, Operations, and other departments to align HR initiatives with overall business goals and drive continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications & Hiring Requirements:
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated success in payroll, benefits, employee relations, and talent acquisition.
  • Healthcare industry experience required—preferably within a clinical, multi-site, or provider-based organization.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR laws, compliance standards, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of ERISA and experience managing broker relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Personal Attributes:
  • Strategic & Hands-On: Comfortable alternating between strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
  • Adaptable: Flexible and resourceful in a rapidly evolving company.
  • Collaborative: Builds strong relationships across teams and functions.
  • Growth-Oriented: Excited by expansion and organizational development.
  • Confidential & Trustworthy: Handles sensitive employee information with discretion.
Work Environment:
  • This role operates primarily in a remote work environment, aligned with East Coast business hours, but there will be an occasional need to be available for the workforce in other time zones (CT, MTN, PST). This position requires reliable internet connectivity, access to secure communication tools, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • An office option may be available in Southeastern Florida as needed for collaboration with leadership.

Many of our clients utilize E-Verify as part of their employment process. E-Verify is an internet-based system operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in partnership with the Social Security Administration (SSA) that allows participating employers to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their newly hired employees in the United States
