About the job

Join a leading global biopharmaceutical company in Hong Kong dedicated to creating life-changing medicines. We are looking for a high-impact, results-focused professional to lead our external engagement and communication strategy, ensuring patients can access our innovative therapies.

The Opportunity: Your Core Mission

You will be the architect of our "environment shaping" efforts in Hong Kong, translating our company mission into tangible patient benefits. Your primary goal is to drive a favourable external environment that accelerates patient access to our portfolio of innovative products.

This is a highly strategic role requiring exceptional integrity, critical thinking, and a collaborative mindset. You'll report to the Senior Corporate Affairs Manager.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Impact
  • Strategic Access Partnership: Develop and implement a local strategy and action plan to ensure optimal market access for new product launches, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical, Public Relations/Access).
  • Stakeholder Ecosystem Leadership: Build, map, and nurture resilient relationships with a diverse and high-stakes network, including government/legislative officials, industry associations, key scientific societies, and patient advocacy organizations.
  • High-Impact Communication: Lead the planning and execution of our external communication strategy, particularly around significant data releases, regulatory approvals, and reimbursement milestones. You will also play a key role in protecting and enhancing the reputation of our brand in the market.
  • Patient Empowerment: Design and deploy patient education initiatives that effectively empower individuals to become informed and active partners in their own healthcare journey.
  • Compliance Excellence: Operate with a deep, full understanding of the highly regulated pharmaceutical environment and local codes of practice (e.g., HKAPI), ensuring all external activities adhere to the highest ethical and regulatory standards.

What You'll Bring: Essential Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: 3+ years of demonstrable experience in public affairs, patient advocacy, policy shaping, or external affairs within a highly regulated industry, preferably the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Hong Kong Expertise: Demonstrable knowledge of the Hong Kong healthcare system, market access landscape, and the interests of key stakeholders. Experience enabling market access in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a plus.
  • Communication & Influence: Communications excellence with the ability to successfully execute high-stakes, high-impact product communication strategies. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills are paramount.
  • Education: A university undergraduate or post-graduate degree, ideally in Communications, Political Science, or Law, is desired.
