The British International School, Ho Chi Minh City(BIS HCMC) is a Nord Anglia Education School. The British International School is the largest international school in Vietnam and a leading international school in South East Asia. With over 2,000 students from more than 55 countries it operates from three campus sites in Ho Chi Minh City. The school provides a top quality British style education in first class facilities resourced to the highest level. The National Curriculum for England, IGCSE and the IB Diploma are taught to English speaking students from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 13. The secondary campus currently serves around 900 students from age 11-18 and is continuing to grow as larger year groups’ progress through the school.

BIS offers the IB Diploma Programme to an increasing number of highly able and exceptionally well-motivated Sixth Form students. Head of Physics

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified and experienced teachers or current middle leaders. A minimum of three years recent experience of teaching Physics to GCSE/IGCSE and either A level or the IB Diploma programme is essential, relevant middle leadership experience in a good science department will be an advantage. The BIS Science Department is a dynamic and innovative team of 13 teachers supported by three science technicians housed in modern well-equipped specialist laboratories. Our motivated and high achieving students are involved in a wide range of activities beyond the classroom.

The Science Department is well-established and Physics is a popular and successful choice for Separate Science (Physics) at IGCSE, and both SL and HL Physics at IB. We are keen to appoint a candidate who is able to continue to develop the IB Physics course. Our students are highly motivated, keen to develop their science and a delight to teach.
