Head of Management Accounts

SF Recruitment is working with a fantastic educational organisation based in the north Birmingham area. They are looking to onboard a Head of Management Accounts to build and lead the Management Accounting team in the preparation, control and reporting of all management accounting responsibilities for the Trust.
You will be a qualified Accountant and have a keen interest in people management and development.
Key tasks:
- Monthly management control and reporting for all costs associated with every school within the Trust
- Overall owner of the relationship between Heads, Strategic Leads and Finance Managers to ensure that the management accounts are supported by the financial accounts and reflect a true and
fair position of each school's financial position
- Development, ownership and management of individual schools' financial improvement plans
- Development of and reporting against standard and trust-specific (internal) KPIs
- Provision of monthly management accounts to strict timetable and actively delivering a reduction in days taken to finalise each month
- Management of the delivery of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
- Ownership of data help on IMP and collaboration with the Senior Manager, Financial Control in ensuring data integrity at all times between Sage and IMP
- Liaison with and support of all schools in the Partnership
- Management and development of up to 12 team members at management and assistant levels
