ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Head of Finance to lead our capital strategy and keep our financial engine running smoothly. You’ll work side-by-side with our CEO and leadership team, shape the company’s long-term financial path, and make sure we’ve got the capital we need to grow fast—and responsibly.

As our Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

Capital Markets & Financing Strategy

• Develop and execute our capital markets strategy to fuel growth and expansion

• Lead debt financing initiatives, including refinancing, new debt issuance, and optimizing capital structure for cost and flexibility.

• Build strong relationships with banks, lenders, investors, and credit agencies, ensuring transparent and proactive communication.

• Share financing plans and performance with our leadership team.

• Identify and evaluate strategic financing opportunities, including private placements, structured finance, and alternative debt sources.
  

Debt & Covenant Management

• Own loan and bond documentation, compliance, and financial reporting

• Maintain and develop financial models to forecast covenant headroom and stress-test scenarios.

• Partner with legal and external advisors on debt documentation, refinancing, and negotiations.
  

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Partner with our CEO and leadership team to shape long-term financial strategy and growth plans.

• Lead budgeting, treasury, and accounting functions to deliver accurate financial insights and forecasts.

• Strengthen our financial governance and risk management frameworks across the organization.

• Lead and grow a small high-performing finance team aligned with business objectives.
  

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for debt investors, financial institutions, auditors, and regulators.

• Support management and investor relations through clear communication of financial performance and outlook.
  

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you:

• You bring 10+ Years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in capital markets, treasury, or structured finance roles

• Proven track record in raising and managing debt facilities - bank loans, bonds, structured or asset-backed financing

• Strong understanding of financial instruments, leverage metrics, and covenant compliance frameworks.

• You’ve worked in a growth-stage or capital-heavy environment like mobility, energy, or tech.

• You’re a clear communicator who can build trust across internal and external partners (bookkeepers, auditors and governmental authorities)

• Exceptional financial modeling, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

• You’re hands-on and thrive in a fast-moving, small-team environment.

• You are fluent in English and German. French is a bonus.

• You’re ideally based in Berlin, Hamburg or Paris
