Job Description

Rockwell Automation is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join our Control Logix Continuation Engineering team.

You will maintain and improve our critical ControlLogix family of products, PLCs, communication modules, I/O modules and power supplies. The Product Line Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring continuous production by replacing obsolete components, resolving customer-reported anomalies, implementing product improvements and redesigns to achieve cost reductions while maintaining product specifications.

You will work with a team of engineers from multiple disciplines (industrialization, FW, mechanical, sourcing, component engineers, quality engineers, project managers) to manage a critical product line throughout the product lifecycle. You will develop your technical skills, and improve your English.

You will report to the Manager, HARDWARE DEVELOPMENT and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improvements of HW side for ControlLogix products.
  • Replace obsolete components.
  • Resolve anomalies.
  • Implement product improvements.
  • Redesign to achieve cost reductions.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Engineer's degree in the field of: Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation or similar related technical discipline.
  • English language skills at B1/B2 level, both written and spoken.
  • Legal permission to work in Poland is required.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • 1 year of experience in product development and release of printed circuit board level electronic hardware systems with expertise in high-speed digital design (using components such as microcontrollers, DDR memories, Ethernet, ASICs, FPGAs)
  • Electronics design, creating schematics and layouts.
  • Product development and introduction to the market of electronic hardware systems at the level of printed circuits.
  • Design systems based on (Microcontrollers, DDR memories, Ethernet, ASIC, FPGA).
  • Work with tools: Menthor Graphics, SAP, JIRA, HyperLynx or similar.
  • Functional safety standards - SIL2/SIL3.
  • UL/ATEX compliant design (isolation / spacing), preventing and eliminating EMC/EMI issues.
