JOB – Graduate Engineer

LOCATION – Reading

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £25,000-£30,000, dependent on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer within Aerospace & Defence. They are looking for a Graduate Engineer to join their team in Reading on a permanent basis.

The Graduate Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• An educational or hands-on background in Engineering
• Technical knowledge with the ability to read engineering drawings
• Knowledge of tender process would be beneficial

• Experience with / knowledge of electromechanical products and systems would be ideal
• 0-2 years or more industry experience
• Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Be keen to develop with a company long term
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Confident and driven for career progression

The Graduate Engineer role will involve:

• Excellent opportunities for training and development, with room to progress within the company
• Liaising with manufacturing providers
• Being involved in final assembly of products
• Investigating and resolving quality issues and non-conformances
• Liaising with customers and suppliers to address quality-related concerns
• Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
• Working on continuous improvement projects
• Investigating new product lines and areas within which the company can expand
• Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
• Checking drawings for sign off
• Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
