Governance Manager – Abu Dhabi
We are looking for an experienced Governance Manager to join a highly reputable in-house legal team based in Abu Dhabi. Managing 2 direct reports, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of corporate governance strategies, rules and regulations across the business divisions in line with applicable SCA regulations.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Schedules Board, Board Executive Committee and Nomination and Remuneration Committee
meetings.
• Prepares the agendas, follows up on the status of action items, and compiles the Board, Board Executive Committee and Nomination and Remuneration Committee papers.
• Drafts the minutes of the meetings.
• Prepares the corporate, functional and divisional standards, procedures, manuals, work instructions, forms and templates.
• Develops and implements the corporate governance framework in line with applicable regulatory requirements and leading practices.
• Reviews and finalises corporate publications, including the Corporate Governance Report.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree (law, accountancy, business, or similar discipline) from a reputable university.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in top-flight international law/accounting/consultancy firms and/or blue-chip corporates
• Relevant international governance qualifications/certifications.
