About the job
YES WE USE AI!
Now that I’ve got your attention with some AI cringe, read the job posting carefully before applying.
About Jiga:
We are on a mission to help engineers build physical products faster. Imagine the npm install for mechanical engineers.
How we work:
Remote: We are a fully remote company with team members from over 5 countries.
Culture: We never count hours and measure team members by performance and communication only. We hate micro-management and we 100% trust team members to perform tasks and to be honest with each other.
We play online games weekly together, encourage people to ask the hard questions, and we fly everyone once per year for our annual offsite in a beautiful place in the nature.
Meetings: We have a no-BS-meeting policy. We will have one weekly with the whole company and another one with the dev team. That's it.
Engineering Values:
- Simple code, simple architecture; Simple solutions are better than complex ones.
- Getting things done fast; Launch now, improve later.
- Product comes before engineering; Every line of code code should serve our product.
Funding: Fully funded with significant, growing revenue. We are transparent about our runway.
You should apply if
- You own your tasks and don't need micro-management.
- You love building UI components as much as building data structures and API endpoints, and there isn’t a task you can't do.
- You are connected to the product side and love to take ownership.
- You are not afraid to make mistakes and get your hands dirty.
- You have a get stuff done attitude.
- You work blazingly fast.
- You love what you do.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience building full-stack web applications, end-to-end.
- Proven experience with React, NodeJS and MongoDB.
- Experience working with AWS and maintaining EC2/ECS services.
- Proven experience building complex web applications, considering clean and simple architecture, security, scaling, performance and maintainability.
- Good understanding of data modeling.
- Experience working in a product company.
- Few working hours overlap with GMT+3.
- Some terraform experience - would be a great plus!
- US applicants only: For this position we require US citizenship or a green card.
Benefits
No, we don’t have Friday happy hours or a fridge packed with 10 different flavors of ice cream in our office. In fact, we don’t have an office.
We do offer:
- Fully flexible, location-independent, parent-friendly remote work environment.
- Never-counting-hours and zero-micro-management policy.
- Internationally diverse and dynamic team with a clear vision and strategy.
- Self-development budget.
- Generous stock options package.
- Annual team offsites.
- Fast-paced environment with lots of room for creative freedom.
- An opportunity to work on a real, challenging problem with an amazing team positioned to win.
