Financial Controller

We’re hiring a Financial Controller to build the backbone of our financial operations across Brazil and the US, ensuring rigor, transparency, and scalability across our business. This role will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of accounting, tax, and internal controls, ensuring Terradot’s financial reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and compliance. You’ll work closely with external stakeholders and with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes, manage risk, and prepare the company for future audits and financing with international financial institutions. This is a foundational position for Terradot’s Finance organization and an opportunity to help shape the systems, controls, and reporting frameworks that will enable the company to scale. Role Responsibilities:

• Accounting and tax. Oversee and manage accounting, tax, and reporting activities across Brazil and the US, ensuring compliance with IFRS and US GAAP standards. Effectively manage external BPO firm.

• Closing process. Lead monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.

• Financial reporting. Build audit-ready documentation and maintain a culture of transparency, accountability, and precision. Support investor reporting and due diligence processes. Partner with FP&A to integrate financial reporting with forecasting and performance tracking.

• Internal Controls and Risk Management. Design, implement, and maintain financial internal controls that support scalability and mitigate risks.

• ERP. Lead the implementation of the company’s ERP and financial tools, ensuring automation and data consistency.

• Processes. Identify process bottlenecks and lead efficiency initiatives that reduce manual work and improve accuracy across finance workflows.

Background and Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in accounting, auditing, or controlling, with minimum 4 years at a Big Four firm

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred

• Deep understanding of Brazilian accounting standards, IFRS, and consolidation across multi-entity structures

• Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure full compliance

• Proven experience building or upgrading accounting and tax processes in cross-border companies

• Exposure to ERP implementation or systems integration projects
