About the job
Velosio is looking for a Financial Analyst to be an integral member of the Finance Team.
As a Financial Analystat Velosio will support the day-to-day FP&A functions and financial data management process. You will be responsible for supporting collaborative cross-functional efforts to drive relevant, flexible, and efficient financial planning and analysis that supports our key business decisions. You will also be responsible for the aiding the support & evolution of financial tools used to summarize and evaluate business performance including the company’s financial reporting, forecasting & annual operating plan.
Your day might look like:
- Preparing weekly, monthly & quarterly financial reporting including variance analysis
- Creating financial models and scenarios as a key input for business planning decision.
- Preparing and analyzing data which may include locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating,or modeling.
- Using knowledge of business objectives, strategies, and needs to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to achieve the desired business benefits.
- Understanding current data context, processes and availability, and how current data processes and existing data can be leveraged to achieve the desired benefits.
- Ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the business and systems; performing validation and testing to confirm the accuracy of the information created.
- Identifying and execution upon process improvement opportunities.
- Providing ad-hoc financial modeling support.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-4 years’ experience with financial reporting
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Ability to work independently with general guidance on new projects
- Ability to develop innovative solutions to support business needs
You might also bring:
- CPA, along with public accounting experience, or CMA
- Equivalent industry and project management experience
- Experience with analytical tools (e.g., BI 360)
