Role Summary

Rivian is looking to hire a Financial Analyst to support our Product Development Finance organization, based out of its location in Belgrade, Serbia. As a Financial Analyst, Product Development, you’ll support the maintaining of Vehicle Program and Product Development team budgets, including pre-production vehicle builds and vehicle program investment. This area is critical for the short- and long-term health of Rivian and success of both our consumer and commercial products. A successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to filter large amounts of data to form a holistic financial story, build strong relationships with Supply Chain and other PD Finance team members to resolve budget discrepancies, and be self-motivated to learn what it takes to build and refine a vehicle on the road.


Responsibilities

  • Be a key strategic partner for our product development team, interacting with various cross-functional partners including, but not limited to: Engineering, Purchasing/Supply Chain, Program Management, etc.
  • Understand the mechanism and aspects of the Bill-of-Materials (BOM), coordinating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and flag financial risks
  • Maintain budgets for development costs and approve spend based on targets that have been agreed upon with key stakeholders, driving team towards cost effectiveness
  • Be able to translate data into actionable insights, showing drivers of financial performance to communicate to results to leadership and internal customers to effectively frame decision-making
  • Ensure compliance and enforce proper approval processes and workflows in partnering with our Supplier Purchasing organization
  • Conduct variance analysis to forecast, track KPIs, and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Support month-end close process, timely and complete reporting in line with Corporate Accounting policies and guidelines

Qualifications

  • Proven analytical abilities and creativity in problem-solving skills along with strong organizational skills reflecting prioritization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with various management levels
  • Agility and adaptability in a fast-paced, ever-changing and ambiguous environment with imperfect data
  • Ability to effectively articulate financial stories in a clear and concise manner, written and verbally
  • General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles and theories with the ability to learn Rivian policies
  • Knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets with proficiency with PowerPoint/Google Slides
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Tableau, PowerQuery, PowerBI, and/or SQL a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations, or relevant experience in a related field
  • 1-2 years of related experience in Finance, Consulting, Investment Banking, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and/or other related field
