The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Finance team for a 6-month Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the commodities and procurement teams on the development and maintenance of cost accounting and cost tracking activities, as well as assist with RFQ costing for Coffee, Procurement and Operations.

What you get to do:

  • Conduct financial analysis on Monthly and YTD results pertaining to procurement (packaging, raw materials) including month end reviews, ad hoc requests, and forward-looking expectations (LE, Budget, pricing governance).
  • Conduct monthly analysis on cost studies, BOM variance analysis and Inventory Analysis.
  • Support the Finance lead in bringing financial insights to the organization on cost trends and corresponding impact on product cost/profitability.
  • Enable productivity agenda by providing savings estimates and tracking on key productivity initiatives.
  • Assist with the development and informing on key departmental KPI’s and best practices.
  • Support the RFQ process by providing new standards as needed for new and existing customers.
  • Support the financial leader and subject matter expert understanding AX item cost, including and not limited to Daily/Monthly annual updates, Transactional generation and subsystem general ledger posting, AX supporting tables, variances generation and deferral due to item costs.
  • Support annual budget and LE discussions, process with reporting package preparation.
  • Support finance manager in D365 Project testing and validation as needed.

What you bring to the role:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst in a food manufacturing company providing support to the procurement business unit.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management, or Finance.
  • Demonstrated ability to own the agenda and work vertically and horizontally within the organization to drive results/activities.
  • Ability to communicate complicated, complex activity in a clear, fluid manner.
  • ERP experience, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365.
  • Strong Excel skills (model development, Pivot Tables, function/formula understanding).
  • Strong analytical mind-set with the ability to summarize data and capture changing assumptions.
  • Strong organizer who can handle constant interruption while keeping eyes on target.
  • Passion for manufacturing activity and knowledge.
