We are currently working exclusively with our client in search of a financial accountant eager to gain extensive exposure within a leading company located in the heart of Cork.

The role

In the capacity of a Financial Accountant, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing and executing various accounting assignments, offering essential support to our finance department. Your duties encompass the establishment and upkeep of financial and accounting systems, financial forecasting, conducting audits, and addressing financial irregularities by employing appropriate accounting control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile monthly management accounts and reports.
• Enhance overall performance by overseeing both financial and non-financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare and finalize necessary statutory information.
• Manage VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Participate in the training and development of fellow finance team members.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller as needed.

What you need:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, with 2 years' post qualified experience desirable
• Showcase robust analytical, managerial, and cost accounting capabilities.
• Display proficiency in IT, particularly advanced Excel skills.
• Possess solid business insight and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate initiative as a self-starter, adept at prioritizing multiple tasks under pressure to achieve deadlines and targets.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Project confidence and enthusiasm, embodying a positive "can-do" attitude.
