MA Financial Group is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Financial Accountant to join our Asset Management Financial Control team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in BGC, Taguig, supporting our Sydney operations, with a hybrid work arrangement.
About the Role
You will work alongside a team of skilled finance professionals supporting a diversified portfolio across private credit, real estate, hospitality, and venture capital. Your responsibilities will span month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, invoicing, regulatory compliance, and supporting group audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Month-end and reporting period close processes
- Journal preparation and revenue recognition
- Accounting for fund co-investments and offshore entities
- Balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews
- Invoicing, cash payments, and receivables management
- Legal entity financial statements, audit support, and compliance reporting
- Supporting ASX half-year and year-end group financial reporting
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in financial control or accounting
- Relevant degree in Accounting; CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
- Experience in financial services or asset management (desirable)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (a plus)
