Financial Accountant

About the job

An opportunity has risen for a Financial Accountant to join a rapidly expanding telecommunications company. Working closely with the Financial Controller as well as the Group Finance Manager this role will be suited to a highly motivated individual with excellent problem solving and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a result driven finance professional with excellent organisational abilities who will report directly into the Financial Controller. This is a Hybrid role: 4 days based in our Dublin South offices and 1 day working from home.


Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journals and reconciliations, analysis
  • Work with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
  • Maintain and improve financial processes and reporting using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Register and accounting for stock
  • Support ongoing finance projects and system enhancements
  • To provide management with the financial information necessary to make strategic and operational business decisions
  • Assist in the annual audit with the external auditors

Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • Analytical and computer skills in MS Office, strong Excel a definite advantage
  • Ability on focus on continually improving processes and efficiencies
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while prioritising tasks effectively
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and flexibility.
  • Sense of responsibility, initiative and high quality work standards
  • Initiative and drive to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well within a small team

Qualifications / Experience

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or near Completion
  • Minimum of at least 2-3 year's experience in an commercial finance environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central highly desirable
