Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Opex reporting process, delivering accuracy, compliance, and meaningful insights.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycle for support areas, partnering with Exco to drive cost efficiency.
• Oversee balance sheet management, ensuring robust controls, reconciliations, and timely query resolution.
• Act as the primary contact for audits, GIA findings, and accounting policy matters.
• Drive working capital management, cash flow forecasting, and IFRS17 Opex allocation in collaboration with actuarial teams.
• Support BEE compliance through monitoring, reporting, and engagement with Group Finance on procurement and ESD requirements.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom Honours or CIMA (studying towards).
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior finance role with strong exposure to strategic business partnering.
• Insurance industry experience is essential (Life Insurance preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial/management accounting, and insurance-specific technical accounting.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Great Plains advantageous).
• Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
