Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Opex reporting process, delivering accuracy, compliance, and meaningful insights.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting cycle for support areas, partnering with Exco to drive cost efficiency.
- Oversee balance sheet management, ensuring robust controls, reconciliations, and timely query resolution.
- Act as the primary contact for audits, GIA findings, and accounting policy matters.
- Drive working capital management, cash flow forecasting, and IFRS17 Opex allocation in collaboration with actuarial teams.
- Support BEE compliance through monitoring, reporting, and engagement with Group Finance on procurement and ESD requirements.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Honours or CIMA (studying towards).
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior finance role with strong exposure to strategic business partnering.
- Insurance industry experience is essential (Life Insurance preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, financial/management accounting, and insurance-specific technical accounting.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Great Plains advantageous).
- Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
