Finance Analyst – Bath – 3-6 Month Contract – £300-350 per day Umbrella – start date ASAP.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst in Bath who is a qualified accountant to work on a project to revise accounting and management reporting structures on an Agresso System.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
* The primary purpose of this post is to make an effective contribution to the Finance Management of the Council by reviewing and developing the Council’s chart of accounts.
* The post holder will be responsible for ensuring Services are able to maximise the benefit of financial reporting and that decision making at all levels is based on accurate, timely and regulated financial information by ensuring the chart of accounts is fit for purpose and accurately reflects the various business needs of the Council.
To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:
* Full Accountancy qualification.
* Experience in business or financial environment.
* Extensive knowledge, understanding and experience of key business processes in finance/pensions/payroll.
* An extensive knowledge of the Authority’s financial systems, including budgetary control, accounting procedures, Risk Management, Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
* An extensive knowledge of Local Authority Services including an appreciation and understanding of current and proposed legislation and Council policy and its effect on the Authority.
* Knowledge and experience of Agresso Business World system and other financial systems.
37 Hours per week.
