This role is predominantly responsible for providing financial planning and commercial analysis with our local ESPN operational teams. You will work across dynamic business units, delivering insights that drive strategic decisions and help optimize performance in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

We’re looking for someone who is accountable for their contributions and eager to make a meaningful impact within a high-performing finance team. This role would suit someone 2-5 years into their career.

Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Forecasting, planning, analysing and uploading the TV and Digital Media business forecasts in accordance with regional and US planning cycles. Including, 5 Year Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Quarter End and Forecast cycles

  • Providing the accounting team with Month End and Quarter End Close journal entries and run SAP reports to analyse monthly actuals

  • Preparation of all regional and global submission requests for manager to review

  • Provide monthly actuals vs budget cost tracking to department heads, providing analysis, commentary and insights where relevant

  • Work with ESPN Affiliate and Advertising Sales billing teams to ensure invoices sent to partners in a timely manner and accruals accurately reflect current contracts

  • Ad hoc project work and financial modelling to support the team

To be successful in this role, you will hold:

  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Finance, or a related discipline

  • CA, CPA, or equivalent professional accreditation is highly regarded

  • At least 2 years of experience in a comparable financial or commercial analysis role

  • Prior exposure to the media or television industry is advantageous

  • Proven experience in full Profit & Loss ownership and Financial Planning & Analysis
