Role Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Field Service Engineer/Technician to support our fast-growing U.S. customer base. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot pharma 3D printers and related lab equipment, while working closely with our engineering team in Helsinki for technical guidance and product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair CurifyLabs’s pharmaceutical 3D printers and supporting devices
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per service plans. Ensure equipment uptime and reliability.
Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting: Diagnose, electrical, mechanical, network and software issues; escalate complex cases with Helsinki engineering.
Advise customers on best practices and safe usage and daily operation. Act as primary technical contact during service visits.
Support installations, upgrades, and field actions as required. Travel nationwide (up to ~70–80%) to support our customers.
Qualifications
Required
3+ years in field service for lab automation, liquid handlers, 3D printers, medical devices, or other similar electromechanical equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills across network connected, mechanical, electronic, and software-controlled systems.
Experience interpreting technical drawings and service documentation.
Customer-focused communication and independence in the field.
Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel frequently
Experience with Network Administration such as configuring and maintaining an office network routers and firewalls with professional grade equipment.
Preferred
Experience in regulated environments (pharma/biotech/healthcare).
Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent certification.
Familiarity with computer terminals such as Windows CMD or Linux Terminal
Familiarity with GMP or quality/validation practices.
