Field Service Engineer (m/f/d)
The Field Service Engineer at Werth plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful installation, repair, calibration, retrofit and ongoing support of Werth Coordinate Measuring Machines. Reporting to the Head of Service, this technical role is responsible for delivering high-quality service to customers, maintaining system performance, and providing expert troubleshooting to minimise downtime. By leveraging their technical expertise, the Field Service Engineer will work closely with customers to optimise machine functionality, enhance productivity, and ensure long-term customer satisfaction.
What You Will Be Doing:
Perform installation, repair, calibration, and retrofitting of Werth Coordinate Measuring Machines featuring optics, probes, computed tomography (X-ray), and multi-sensor technology.
Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting to minimise customer downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
Deliver high-quality technical support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues.
Conduct preventive maintenance and system upgrades to enhance reliability and extend equipment lifespan.
Train customers on machine operation, maintenance, and best practices to ensure efficient usage.
Maintain detailed service reports and documentation to track machine history and provide feedback for continuous product improvement.
Travel to customer sites as needed to perform service interventions and installations.
What You Bring:
Technical degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field is necessary.
Experience in Coordinate Measuring Machines with Computed Tomography (X-Ray), Optical- and Multi-sensor is preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills to effectively assist clients in a professional manner.
Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, electrical schematics, and GD&T specifications.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Willingness to travel for on-site installations, maintenance, and customer support.
Proficiency in the German language is preferred but not required.
