Equity Portfolio Analyst

Our client, a successful market-leading boutique investment management firm are looking to hire a Portfolio Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to support an experienced Fund Management team. It is a small, collegial team offering broad exposure and growth opportunities across the full range of investment functions. Core responsibilities: Provide detailed performance and attribution analysis on a regular basis Conduct portfolio risk analysis to monitor underlying positions, risk drivers, performance and market dynamics/volatility Contribute to investment research Produce ESG analysis and research to identify and incorporate material ESG factors into the investment analyses and decision-making process Supporting the Trading Operations team to manage investment execution, settlement, position management, and reporting Develop portfolio and market related information for the Marketing and Sales team Research database management Generate information and reports for the Investment Committee Varied, ad hoc projects as reasonably required to support the Portfolio Managers The successful candidate must have: 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within an analytical role in the asset management industry Advanced analytical skills with high attention to detail Strong grasp of Excel and quantitative abilities An enthusiastic and hands-on approach An inquisitive and proactive nature Strong written and verbal communications skills Ability to work in a collaborative dynamic team environment Excellent organisational skills and able to multi-task and keep track of various deadlines A strong academic background and degree Mason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
