About the Team

The Platform team builds the core systems and tools that power all of Dandy Engineering. We’re responsible for infrastructure, developer experience, CI/CD, observability, shared backend services (like authentication, event streaming, and async workers), and security foundations.

Our mission is to make it easy for every Dandy engineer to build, ship, and operate software quickly and securely. We're scaling the platform to support a fast-growing engineering organization—improving developer velocity, building secure-by-default foundations, and driving adoption of best-in-class tools and automations across the stack. From selecting critical infrastructure to building internal abstractions and enforcing security through automation, this team plays a central role in Dandy’s ability to move fast with confidence.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for infrastructure, developer productivity, and shared backend systems

  • Define and drive the strategy to improve developer velocity across the organization, including tooling, workflows, and infrastructure

  • Partner with engineering leadership to define how we adopt and operationalize AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Devin) to accelerate prototyping, refactoring, and workflow automation

  • Establish application security foundations through tool selection, workflow automation, issue remediation, and sharing secure development practices

  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Security, and Engineering teams to align platform investments with business needs

  • Establish and uphold best practices around reliability, scalability, and operational excellence

  • Recruit, mentor and develop engineers, helping grow technical leaders within the team

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years experience as an engineering manager and 5+ years as a software engineer

  • Proven success leading platform, infrastructure, or developer tools teams in high-growth environments

  • Experience designing and scaling developer platforms, CI/CD systems, or internal frameworks

  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), observability, and devops automation

  • Passion for improving developer experience and reducing friction in engineering workflows

  • Strategic thinking around how to incorporate emerging tools like AI coding assistants to improve productivity

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across functions

  • Bias for action and a pragmatic mindset when making technical trade-offs
