Electrical Engineer

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, controls, and material handling applications. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects while leveraging your design and AutoCAD expertise.

Responsibilities:
•     Design electrical systems and components for industrial applications
•     Create and modify electrical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD
•     Specify appropriate components and materials for electrical installations
•     Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide technical solutions
•     Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project implementation
•     Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
•     Provide technical support for existing installations
•     Develop and review electrical system specifications

Required Qualifications
•     Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Physics degrees also highly regarded)
•     2+ years of professional electrical engineering experience
•     Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and documentation
•     Experience with electrical systems ranging from 24V to 1,000V, including 480V applications
•     Demonstrated expertise in controls systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
•     Strong understanding of electrical design principles and industry standards
•     Experience creating electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications
•     Material handling systems experience
•     Experience with industrial automation and control systems
•     Knowledge of NEC and other relevant electrical codes
•     Project management experience
•     Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
