About the role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the electrical systems for our nuclear projects. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure that all electrical systems meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for nuclear facilities, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct electrical load calculations and analysis to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems with overall project designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including IEEE, NEC, and NRC requirements.
- Perform site inspections and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Identify and resolve electrical design issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering and nuclear technology to incorporate best practices into designs.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the nuclear or power generation industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:
The estimated starting salary range for this role is $121,000 - $143,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a semi-monthly basis. The actual salary offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined in the Company’s discretion, which may include experience, qualifications, tenure, skill set, availability of qualified candidates, geographic location, certifications held, and other criteria deemed pertinent to the particular role.
