About the job

 Join us as a member of the DEI committee

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee is seeking new members! Are you passionate about CISV and want to continue the work of making CISV an interculturally skilled, inclusive, and equitable peace education organization? We are seeking global members from all areas of the CISV organization; locally, regionally or internationally. We also want to broaden the current gender and age structure in the committee to better mirror our reality.

Our needs and what you can offer:

  • With our new strategic plan, we want to raise awareness of DEIB principles and ensure a shared understanding and commitment within the organisation. This can be done in different ways and your ideas and competence are needed!
  • Once we have new ideas, we will appreciate help in with the implementation and integration phase including designing policies, trainings etc.
  • We would like to have sufficient members to work directly with relevant committees to ensure that DEIB values and behaviors are fully embedded in programs, leadership, and community culture across all regions.
  • Once the above is implemented, we will together to mentor and support regions, NA´s and other volunteers in their DEIB work, and remain available on an ongoing basis to provide this service

What we’re looking for:

  • CISV experience at the Chapter, NA, or international level
  • Professional experience working with DEIB content
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and mentoring skills, preferably from a professional background.
