Senior Director - Ads Demand Team

Job Summary:
As the leader of our Ads demand team in Taiwan you will be responsible for Sales and Account Management teams acquisition and growth of advertisers on our platform in Taiwan. In this role, you will build and manage a high performing team that drives revenue growth through innovative media solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and lead an Ads demand team from the ground up and make a significant impact on Coupang’s growth in Taiwan and seller success.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to foster a high performance culture in a high growth phase.
  • Establish clear team objectives and ensure all members understand their roles in achieving these targets.
  • Regularly assess team performance, offer constructive feedback, and implement strategies for continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Identify skill gaps within the team and coordinate training sessions to enhance competencies and professional growth.
  • Remain close to our customers to ensure product, pitch, and performance are constantly improving.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring processes run smoothly, efficiency and align with organisational standards and goals.
  • Define revenue targets, monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to drive growth.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in e-commerce, media, ad sales management, or related fields, with a proven track record of scaling sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital advertising, including full funnel media, campaign optimization, and agency collaboration with ability to leverage this knowledge for strategic growth.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and foster long-term partnerships with major e-commerce advertisers and other stakeholders, driving mutual growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Deep familiarity of inbound and outbound marketing technology practices to rapidly address needs of potential advertisers
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross functional teams to execute complex business projects effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to leverage data insights to inform business decisions, improve processes and optimize team performance
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional results for customers, aligning advertiser objectives with the company’s customer-first (wow the customer) approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
