About the job
We are looking for a Director of Finance who will own all areas of Accounting, as well as, Reporting, Budgeting, Treasury, Contracts, Tax and Compliance. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day Finance & Operations efforts and executing and managing all customer and vendor contracts and related commitments.
In this role you’ll get to:
- Own the preparation of financial reports, compile financial statements, and ensure general compliance.
- Manage the month end financial close process and ensure timely and accurate financial statements. Present monthly results to the senior leadership team.
- Lead 1upHealth through internal & external reviews and audits including Big 4, HiTrust, SOC2 and GRC.
- Manage annual and other tax return requirements; prepare tax schedules and answer tax inquiries.
- Implement recommendations to improve and oversee adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Recognize business leverage of financial data and metrics to measure results and devise strategies for improvements.
- Assist in annual budget planning across all departments.
- Represent 1upHealth in an outward facing role with customers, contractors and vendors including working with sales to negotiate customer contracts
- Execute on ad hoc projects
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
- Accounting experience in Big 4 Accounting or other large public accounting firm
- Revenue recognition experience with enterprise contracts, SaaS experience, and/or ASC606
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and effectively communicate with cross-functional business leaders
