The Opportunity
Kofa is seeking a DevOps engineer to work on our cloud platforms. As a core member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing and securing our platforms and software.
Responsibilities
- Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
- Defining and setting development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Setting up tools and required infrastructure
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
- Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
- Mentoring and guiding the team members to adhere to the best security practices
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering or STEM
- 5 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Strong Linux/Unix systems knowledge
- Scripting languages like: Python, Bash, Go
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi
- CI/CD Pipelines experience: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana
- ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
This is a hybrid role; you will be required to work from our physical office in Accra for part of your work-week.
