DevOps Engineer - India Developement Centre

**The Opportunity:** Identification, exploration and implementation of technology / product development and growth strategies to enhance and secure global positioning. Ensure project execution, foster innovation and develop and secure R&D capabilities in the business for profitability. Devising research methods, focus on future technical direction, future scenarios in transforming technology landscape. Preparing technical specifications and specifying laboratory test equipment and processes. **How you'll make an impact:** - Build, operate, and maintain the CI/CD tool chain, in particular Azure DevOps, to achieve reliable and stable releases. - Create and maintain installation packages (msi, exe) using WiX technology. - Constantly removing any manual CM processes and establish fully automated Configuration Management, Build & Release Management, and Continuous Integrations. - Installs and configures configuration management (CM) tools/software. - Monitors and tunes the installations as appropriate and perform any required data migration and configuration management tasks. - Develops tools/utilities/scripts to assist in CM tasks. - Develop and document the continuous deployment build and release process. - Learn, evaluates & recommends new technologies and automation opportunities. - Smoke testing builds for accuracy and completeness and troubleshoot build and release issues. - Interact with various global product teams to meet their specific needs and advise development teams on SW configuration management/branching and test automation strategies - Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines - Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business **Your Background:** - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science / Engineering. - You should have 4 to 9 years of practical experience as a DevOps Engineer. - Hands-on implementation experience with software configuration management and release systems for large SW projects (Azure DevOps, GIT, MS Build, PowerShell, NuGet, Sonar cloud, code review tools, unit testing frameworks for C++ and C#, installer/packagers. - In-depth and working knowledge to create installation packages using WiX technology is mandatory. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Technology based development. - Working knowledge of creating builds and build automation using Azure DevOps pipelines. - Troubleshooting experience - individual must be able to quickly diagnose issues reported by production and non-production users and provide resolution. - Experience with scripting for automated installation/maintenance/builds of applications. - Good knowledge of batch scripting using Power shell, VB and/or Python etc. **More about us** Excited about a new opportunity?
