About the job
We are looking for an experienced Software DevOps Engineer to join Akkodis team in Hengelo, the Netherlands.
As a DevOps Engineer, you are the point of contact for teams when there are issues with the tools. You also work closely with other DevOps Engineers from other departments doing similar work.
About the team
Within the software department, the Sensor Processing group is responsible for developing software for optimal control and digital processing functions in the sensors. Multidisciplinary teams collaborate with specialists in system engineering, functional sensor design, and the design and implementation of real-time systems.
The Sensor Processing group develops radar software, covering various domains such as radar system control, organizing radar transmissions, and processing the digital information stream. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects—such as aircraft and drones—track them, and display them on an operator console.
The software architecture is highly modular and supports the development of robust and evolutionary systems. Development takes place in Agile teams supported by a modern development pipeline. The teams themselves currently manage the further development and maintenance of the architecture, the pipeline, and the Agile process.
Thales (International) is rolling out a new development pipeline to further automate the software process. If setting up a CI/CD pipeline with integration of tools like SonarQube, Black Duck, and GitLab, migrating data from tools like Bitbucket, and creating new pipelines from Jenkins to these new solutions sounds like an exciting challenge to you—then we’re looking for you.
