Data Scientist

We are partnered with a leading financial services company looking to expand and build out their AI functionality. There are currently numerous roles they look to fill.

About the Role:
As a Data Scientist you will develop and apply statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and data-driven strategies to optimise key business functions. You will work on predictive modelling for credit risk, fraud detection systems, investment analytics, and customer segmentation. Your work will directly influence business decisions and improve financial outcomes through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement machine learning models and statistical analyses for risk assessment, fraud detection, and customer behaviour analysis.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to process and analyse large-scale financial datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Enhance predictive models for market trend analysis, investment optimization, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure models adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Research and apply advanced analytics techniques to drive innovation in financial services.

About you:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist in financial services or a related industry.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, time-series analysis, and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data technologies.
