About the job
R&D division of a Fortune 500 digital media conglomerate, is hiring a Data Scientist for its Mclean based operations. A few responsibilities include: creating data analytic models to improve data metrics, analyzing customer behavior and trends, delivering insights to stakeholders and executives, as well embarking on data ingestion and data streaming. The ideal candidate will be well versed with: machine learning tools, python, R, Elastic Search, NLP libraries and have experience with predictive analytics in a forward thinking environment.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years experience as Data Scientist
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Proficient with Python and R languages
- Experience with Postgres and MongoDB
- Worked with modern BI and analytic software platforms
- Active Top Secret clearance or above
Great to have:
- Masters degree/PHD in related field
- Experience with Machine Learning Tools
- Experience web scraping with Python
- Development background utilizing JVM languages
- Background with Elastic Search
