Summary: As a SAS Platform Engineer, you will assist with the data platform blueprint and design, encompassing the relevant data platform components. Your typical day will involve collaborating with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive integration between systems and data models, while also engaging in discussions to refine the overall architecture and functionality of the data platform. You will be involved in various stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring that the data platform meets the needs of the organization and supports its strategic goals. Your role will require you to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and facilitate communication among different teams to drive successful outcomes. Roles & Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and upgrade SAS software (SAS 9.4, SAS Viya, SAS Grid), Manage SAS metadata, user provisioning, and access controls via SAS Management Console, monitor system performance, CPU and disk usage, and scheduled jobs (e.g., LSF Scheduler), Maintain daily metadata backups and disaster recovery procedures. Work closely with SAS developers, data engineers, and business users to support analytics workflows. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Participate in migration planning and execution for SAS workloads (e.g., from Isilon to AWS). -Good to have experience leading bigger team of 5+ people. - Good to have experience in helping in future proposals estimation. - Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices among team members. Technical Experience: - Senior Tech Architect having more than 12+ years of experience in SAS skills and SAS Platform as SAS admin role handling SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya.
