About the job

Key Accountabilities:

    • Developing data governance frameworks under the AXA PH Data Policy to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
    • Creating and enforcing data standards via the AXA PH Data Policy and procedures to ensure compliance with data regulations and best practices.
    • Collaborating with business and IT teams via the Data Council and Data Steward meetings to define data governance requirements and objectives.
    • Overseeing data management and governance activities, such as data classification, data lineage, and data stewardship to implement Data Quality Controls.
    • Identifying and mitigating data-related risks and ensuring data security and privacy.
    • Educating and training Data Owners on data governance best practices and standards.
    • Monitoring and reporting on team’s performance and compliance, as well as the Data & Analytics team.
    • Participating in Data Council meetings and working groups to drive data governance initiatives and improvements.
    • Prepare communication and marketing materials for Data Management & Governance (DMG) team activities.
    • Knowledgeable on the latest technologies and tools and have the ability to evaluate what that can help support data management & data governance activities.
    • Report on data quality scores based on relevant data quality dimensions.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • Experience in data governance, data quality, or data management is required.
    • Knowledge in policy formation, data concepts, tools, and technologies and requirements documentation.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office applications and basic SQL.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience in Insurance, Banking or Finance industry is preferred.
