Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience with Infor Data Fabric and Microsoft Data Fabric.
  • Proficiency in data mapping techniques and tools.
  • Experience with data migration and synchronization processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain basic to moderately complex data technologies and pipelines.
  • Implement basic data mapping strategies and execute data quality checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform data migration and synchronization tasks between various systems under guidance, ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand basic data requirements and contribute to the delivery of data solutions.
  • Optimize and automate routine data processes with guidance from senior team members to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor data pipelines and systems and perform initial troubleshooting of basic data-related issues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Adhere to established data security protocols, data governance policies, and coding standards.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for developed data pipelines and processes.
  • Actively learn and develop skills in relevant data engineering technologies and methodologies.
  • Experience providing end-user support, including prioritizing and escalating service needs.
  • Ability to work under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and resolve or escalate system issues.
  • Proven organizational, planning, customer service, and responsiveness skills.
  • Self-starter capable of meeting project scope and timeline requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Flexibility to travel to company offices as needed.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • The Data Engineer requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, along with a minimum of seven (7) years of data engineering experience or over eleven (11) years of relevant experience supplemented by coursework in the field or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Hands-on experience with Infor Data Fabric and Microsoft Data Fabric. (required)
  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud-based data solutions. Azure Data Factory/Synapse, Infor Data Fabric (ION Data Lake Flows, Stream Pipelines, Infor’s ETL tool). (preferred)
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, and other programming languages. (required)
  • Knowledge of Data warehouse concepts – Data Modelling, Star Schema, Snowflake, SCD, Surrogate keys, Normalization/De normalization, Distribution Types and Table types. (required)
  • Hands-on experience in query optimization & performance tuning of Azure resources, OLTP and OLAP databases, ETL, and Reporting applications. (required)
  • Experience in middleware and Power BI. (preferred)
