LOCATION:
This will be a hybrid role (1-2 days a week) working out of our San Carlos, CA location.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, supporting oncology, women’s health, and organ health. Our goal in R&D operations data science is to support R&D activities at Natera through data analytics and development of tools to optimize workflows and processes. As a data analyst on the team, you will generate data insights and reports to provide actionable insights that drive continuous improvement in our R&D processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to fulfill requests, implement measures to ensure the integrity and quality of the data, and automate reports and dashboards for performance tracking.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extract, clean, transform, and analyze complex data to support R&D Operations and improve R&D processes, productivity, and outcomes.
- Work closely with R&D stakeholders and R&D Operations teams to understand data needs and fulfill requests
- Automate key performance indicator (KPI) reports and develop interactive dashboards to track performance, milestones, and results
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate results
- Implement and monitor measures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of data
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis
- Expertise in SQL
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as AWS Quicksight or similar platforms
- Ability to produce readable, reproducible, and documented code
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities and meet deadlines
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with version control practices and tools
- Domain knowledge in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, operations research or related field
- Expertise with the Python data science ecosystem
- Strong data visualization skills
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with dbt
- Proficiency in Linux environment
