The opportunity: EY’s Supply Chain Services help connect our people to leading services and suppliers. A key function under Business Enablement, Supply Chain Services is a global team with more than 600 professionals with representation in more than 35 countries.

This position is within the SCS Reporting and Analytics team to support the Travel Meetings and Events (TME) function.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability and Carbon Emissions Reporting Specialist to join the EY Travel Meetings and Events (TME) data and analytics team. This role will report to our TME data & analytics lead and focus specifically on ensuring accurate reporting of carbon emissions related to TME activities and enhancing the visibility and transparency of timely data. The specialist will collaborate with various stakeholders to monitor progress and report on our TME related scope 3 emissions impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating reports and visualizations: Responsible for creating reports, visualizations, and other data-driven presentations that effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Providing insights and recommendations: Use data analysis to provide insights and recommendations (alongside TME specialists) to support business decisions, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Collect, analyse, and report on carbon emissions data specific to TME activities, including travel, lodgings, and events.
  • Enhance the visibility and transparency of carbon emissions data by developing and creating clear reporting and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with event planners, travel coordinators, and other stakeholders to provide insights and support as it relates to their data and activities.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to sustainability and carbon reporting in the context of travel and events.
  • Prepare detailed and insightful reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting carbon emissions data and sustainability achievements within the TME team.
  • Prepare and support workshops to raise awareness about travel related scope 3 emissions and how TME manages and reports member firm executive.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in data collection processes and recommend actionable solutions to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of sustainability reporting.
  • Support broader sustainability projects and initiatives
  • Develop strong relationship with key business users and SCS team members
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset in data and AI driven new technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Strong Power BI, SQL, excel and data analytics tools.
  • Intermediate skillset in Azure Synapse, Python, Data science and Predictive Modelling
  • Proven experience in sustainability reporting and carbon emissions management, preferably within the travel and events sector would be a bonus.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
