Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree in nurse anesthesia from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Active state license as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and in good standing with the medical board
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-operative assessments, develop anesthesia plans, and obtain informed consent from patients
- Administer general or local anesthesia, sedatives, and pain management medication as per physician’s orders
- Monitor patients' vital signs, and adjust anesthesia levels during surgery to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of anesthesia administration, and adhere to hospital protocols and guidelines
