During your tenure as a Core Banking Architect, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

1. Architecture Strategy & Governance
- Define and own the end-to-end banking architecture blueprint, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory needs.
- Drive adoption of modern architecture principles - cloud-native, microservices-based, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
- Provide architecture governance across solution design, integration, infrastructure, and data flows.
- Collaborate with CxOs, technology leads, and delivery teams to influence roadmap and architectural decisions.
- Ensure compliance with security, scalability, availability, and performance standards.

2. Core Banking (Temenos) Architecture
- Lead the technical solutioning of Temenos Transact implementations (TAFJ/TAFC, Design Studio, AA, APIs).
- Define and validate design for Temenos modules (Customer, Accounts, Lending, Deposits, GL, AA).
- Ensure optimal use of Temenos Integration Framework (TIF), API Gateway, and Data Framework.
- Provide architectural guidance on Temenos configuration, customizations, extensions, and upgrades.
- Ensure Temenos deployments align with bank-wide architecture strategy (e.g., cloud, containers, security).

3. Technical Leadership & Oversight
- Lead architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, and technical deep dives with vendors and client teams.
- Oversee architecture documentation, integration specifications, and platform infrastructure plans.
- Manage dependencies across systems - including digital channels, CRM, payments, AML, GL, etc.
- Guide teams on performance tuning, failover, disaster recovery, and data integrity architecture.
- Support DevSecOps alignment and automation strategy for core banking and surrounding systems.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 12+ years of experience in banking technology, with at least 5 years as a core banking architect.
• Deep hands-on experience in Temenos platforms - especially Transact, Design Studio, Integration Framework, APIs.
• Strong understanding of modern banking architecture principles: cloud-native, microservices, containers, APIs, and event-driven design.
• Track record of leading architecture design and governance for large-scale banking programs.
• Temenos certifications (Architect / Technical) strongly preferred.
• Exposure to other core banking platforms is a plus.
• Experience with Temenos AA, TDS, and reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with regulatory and security requirements in banking (e.g., data residency, PCI-DSS).
• Experience in the Middle East or other regulated banking markets.
