The Opportunity
We’re looking for an enthusiastic copywriter to work as part of our Remote team, helping to maintain our high standard of richer content for the users of VoucherCodes. As a copywriter, you’ll be responsible for creating 300-400 word shopping guides - mainly focussed around money and savings - for a large variety of brands that will be displayed on the VoucherCodes site. You'll have guidelines around what can be written about, often coming from a data-led, money-saving aspect. Guide themes will sometimes change in line with SEO demands, so we’re after someone who can adapt and learn quickly. Creativity is a must, and each guide must be written enthusiastically and individually, even when themes become repetitive.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time job who wants the flexibility of working from home combined with regular hours. You'll benefit from being part of a large and established remote team, with extensive training and support from in-house staff. We’re looking for someone who can write strong, informative copy in the VoucherCodes tone of voice whilst being happy to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Using our content management system you will be:
- Writing compelling copy in the VoucherCodes tone of voice, keeping to our house style to highlight the best savings and expert advice for a wide range of brands
- Using your initiative to create original, fresh shoppers guides that are helpful to users and consistent across the site
- Occasionally writing FAQs, merchant descriptions, and hints & tips
- Following SEO guidelines
- Ensuring your copy is up to date, accurate and appropriate for each brand
- Proofing and uploading work to the CMS
Job Qualifications
- Impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proficiency in common writing and editing tools (e.g., Google Docs, Grammarly, MS Word)
- Proven ability to write in multiple tones and for different audiences
- A passion for online shopping and confidence using the internet
- A great eye for finding the best savings possible
- Can follow instructions and carefully follow house style rules
- Great communication and organisational skills, a friendly, positive and can-do manner
