The successful candidate will work with multiple cross-functional engineers to bring solutions from concept to reality, integrating conveyor control solutions, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate conveyor control solutions, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles.
- Create and maintain electrical schematic drawings.
- Develop and debug control system software in ladder logic and structured text.
- Provide technical expertise in controls and electrical engineering.
- Perform on-site commissioning support and necessary electrical field wiring when required.
- Up to 30-40% travel may be required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering and PLC programming.
- Familiarity with programming languages: Ladder Logic, Structured Text.
- Proficient in PLC Programming on Rockwell Platforms Studio 5000/RSLogix5000.
- Experience in programming material handling systems like conveyors, sorters, MDRs is preferred.
- Proficient in schematic design using AutoCAD.
- Ability to assist during equipment commissioning with wiring and installation.
- Familiarity with commissioning VFDs, PLCs, Remote I/O, Barcode Scanners, and establishing communications via Ethernet IP, Device Net, and Profibus communication protocols.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering and PLC programming.
- Upon offer, the candidate must be on the submitting vendor’s W2.
