Fueled by our passion for golf, we’re dedicated to providing unparalleled opportunities for players of all levels, from seasoned pros refining their craft to newcomers discovering the thrill of catching a ball square on the club face.

Together, we swing for success and the relentless pursuit of peak performance—on the course, in business, and beyond.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Communications Specialist to join our growing marketing team and play a key role in keeping our internal teams and franchisees informed, inspired, and connected. This role bridges the gap between corporate and franchisee communications, ensuring information flows clearly and consistently across the Back Nine network.

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator, strong writer, and natural project manager who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll be the voice behind internal updates, newsletters, and key announcements—while also supporting press releases and corporate marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage Back Nine’s monthly newsletter, includes maintaining streamlined communications between internal departments,  copywriting, editing, coordinating submissions, and overseeing distribution

  • Collaborate with the Initiatives Manager and marketing team to support corporate initiatives through engaging and timely communications.

  • Draft and publish internal communications, including post-event recaps, thank-you messages, performance summaries, and initiative announcements.

  • Write and edit press releases for corporate-level updates and collaborations, with final review from the Chief Marketing Officer.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent messaging across internal channels.

  • Work closely with the Communications BDC and design team on content development and visual assets.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve communication efficiency and engagement across the franchise network.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in internal communications, marketing communications, or related roles.

  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills. Use of AI integrated platforms for copy and distribution.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Experience using Slack, Monday.com, Google Workspace, and AI integrated copy platforms like Copy.ai or Jasper (or similar tools).

  • Collaborative mindset with excellent attention to detail.

  • Passion for golf or familiarity with the sport is a plus.

What You’ll Love About Working at Back Nine
  • A collaborative, high-energy work environment built around the love of the game.

  • Opportunities to grow alongside a rapidly expanding national brand.

  • The chance to shape how our franchise community communicates and thrives together.
