Ellipsis Labs is a profitable, venture-backed New York-based startup building differentiated products and infrastructure in decentralized finance.
For inaugural product offering, Ellipsis Labs is a core contributor to Phoenix, the leading order book spot exchange on the Solana blockchain. Phoenix is a top 10 DEX (decentralized exchange) with over $40B in volume since inception in 2023.
All roles are in the Ellipsis Labs office in New York City.
The Opportunity
The Chief of Staff position is an ideal role for someone who hopes to play a key role in a profitable, expanding company, with a clear path for professional growth.
This person will act as a key executive thought partner to the founders, Eugene and Jarry. Day to day tasks will vary widely, from office management, event planning, and operations; to strategic and product discussions, internal communications, and payroll.
The ideal person for this role knows that no two days will look quite the same, and embraces the ambiguity that often arises in an early-stage startup. They’re equally comfortable stocking the fridge and researching desirable happy hour locations for Ellipsis’s next event, then hopping on an investor call to discuss company financials 10 minutes later.
Requirements
Scrappiness, creativity, and grit. This can come from a variety of backgrounds, from retail management or restaurant kitchen, to a busy sales and trading desk or Fortune 500 boardroom.
Demonstrated track record of clear communication, effective prioritization, and deadline management
Effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
1-3 years of professional experience
Bonuses / preferred qualifications
Passion about decentralized finance and crypto
1-2 years of management consulting or investment banking experience
Exposure to trading or fintech
Familiarity with the Solana blockchain
