Role Overview
As CFO, you’ll be a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, responsible for shaping and executing Flipside’s financial strategy. You will lead the full scope of the finance function, including accounting and audit, financial planning, digital asset management, fundraising, and capital allocation. You’ll also oversee treasury operations alongside an external treasury committee of experts and our Board, ensure compliance in a complex regulatory landscape, and provide insight into key decisions across the business.

This is a role for a hands-on, systems-oriented finance leader with deep experience in both traditional financial operations and the nuances of blockchain ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Leadership

• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, helping to drive growth and long-term value creation.
  

• Lead company-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  

• Partner with executive team and department leads to align financial goals with company OKRs and strategic priorities.
  

• Build and evolve internal financial systems and reporting infrastructure to support scale and complexity.
  

Digital Asset Management & Treasury

• Oversee Flipside’s digital asset and fiat portfolio, ensuring responsible stewardship, risk mitigation, and transparency.
  

• Chair the external Treasury Committee, owning policy development, liquidity planning, and asset diversification strategies.
  

• Design frameworks for token management, staking, and treasury reporting.

• Partner with internal engineering teams to manage proprietary validator and payment rails in the management of treasury and partner programs
  

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

• Oversee financial operations, accounting, audit, tax, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions and legal entities.
  

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across fiat and crypto assets, including reconciliations and consolidated statements.
  

• Work closely with external counsel and advisors to navigate evolving blockchain regulatory environments.
  

Fundraising & Capital Strategy

• Lead all fundraising efforts in partnership with the CEO and board, including equity, token, or hybrid structures.
  

• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, VCs, and strategic partners across both traditional and crypto-native ecosystems.
  

• Drive financial diligence, modeling, and materials for fundraising rounds and strategic transactions.

Board & Investor Relations

• Prepare and present financial performance, KPIs, and strategic insights to the board and investors.
  

• Serve as a trusted voice in shaping investor communication and positioning.
  

About You

• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally including time at a high-growth tech startup and/or Web3 company.
  

• Deep understanding of digital assets, onchain financial operations, and tokenomics.
  

• Demonstrated experience managing treasury operations, including crypto portfolios and a variety of digital assets.
  

• Proven track record leading equity or token fundraising rounds from seed to growth stages.
  

• Strong command of SaaS and ecosystem-based business models; comfortable in a data-driven, metrics-oriented environment.
  

• Experience managing international legal entities, cross-border payments, and multi-jurisdictional compliance.
  

• Excellent communicator with a track record of building trust across executive teams, boards, and investors.
  

• Able to thrive in ambiguity, move quickly, and adapt to the pace of blockchain innovation.
